About this series
Elaine Royal has inherited the job of protecting five people who were cursed by a demon three hundred year ago. The demon meant them to suffer and die. However, the curse went wrong and the people became immortals. They also turn invisible in sunlight, which is why they need a protector, a normal human who can take care of the many problems that arise. However, demons have recently arrived in Seattle and want the sunspinners to leave, alive or dead. This is a problem none of the family know how to handle.

- Demonspell, or Curse of the Everlasting Relatives: Sunspinners, #1
1
Along with a big house and income, I inherited five immortal relatives. Try keeping a husband with that set of in-laws. Yes, I have tried. Twice. And failed. Now, just when I meet a great new guy, I get attacked by a trespasser, trip over a dead body, and run into a band of demons. Who knew? Not me. I always thought demons were fictional. What’s more, they are insisting that my relatives and I leave Seattle immediately, alive or dead. Of course I could report a death threat to the Seattle police and how seriously do you think they would take it when I tell them the threat is from demons? Demonspell is the first novel in the Sunspinners series. From the author of the award-winning fantasy Mudflat series, here is another series set in contemporary Seattle, across town. Matthews has been published by Avon, Dell, Holt, Putnam and Silhouette.

- Demonbred or Decay in the Family Tree: Sunspinners, #5
5
My mind stopped at the sound of a demon hissing at me but my body didn't. It had enough instinct to keep moving. I dove through the open door of my car into the seat, and banged the door closed. I reached for the lock on the inside of the door at the same moment he grabbed the handle
- DemonOut, or, Gift from a Bodysnatcher: Sunspinners, #6
6
When Makala Gilver makes the mistake of befriending bodysnatcher demons, her body is snatched and a demon becomes a clumsy version of Makala. That qualifies it as a human, which is what bodysnatcher demons want. It can now live above ground, move into Makala's house and live the life she was living. However, there is one thing in her life that the demon doesn't want and so it leaves the item on the sunspinners' door step. This leads to so many problems the only solution the family can think of is to permanently remove the demons from Seattle. If only they knew a way to do that.
