About this series
Illegal drug smuggling is a huge and persistent problem between the League and the Metazah Republic, especially in the Lost Angels sector which borders it. Matters reach a head when the niece of the sector chairperson and her fiancee die from it the night of her graduation. The Sector Senator, at the behest of the Chair of the Lost Angels Governance Board, demands a full investigation of why such a tragedy should occur with special attention to the failure of League Intellgence and the Patrol to prevent it.
Things turn sour when Micah and his team arrive in Lost Angels. There they find a labyrinth of forced regulations, obscene taxes and suppression of the hard-working populace to the benefit of the politicians there. Worse, the investigation is nothing more than an excuse to eviscerate League Intelligence and shut it down.
Working under the garble and with no support, the team falls afoul of the Patrol Rangers, the most elite law-enforcement officers within the League. In order to avoid prison, or worse, Micah must make allies of the Rangers who hate them, trace the crimes to their source and conquer his suddenly-resurrected personal demons, all without losing his life or the lives of his teammates.

Next Micah turns a blind-side surprise attack against the League forces on the protected world of Ceto into victory by leading the remnants of his unit to decimate an enemy starport. The League deems this too costly a victory and Micah ends up in a world of deadly shadows and unseen foes. Now he must face an entire planet full of enemies, rescue a group of hostages and save the lives of himself and his two friends or face a fate too horrible to contemplate!

- The Burning Crown
4
Failing a mission can cost Micah Stone his life, that's nothing new, but now success may cost him his best friend! Lately, the League Navy has seen a suspicious increase in the number of defective parts they receive. These parts only fail during combat, when they're needed most, and often with fatal consequence. Micah and his teammate Vera Kidwell begin tracing this trail in an under-the-garble mission to find the source of the bad equipment. It leads them to the Starcrown Sector, a long-time League member whose government is organized around a King and his Noble Houses. Micah and Vera must then navigate this labyrinthine tangle of intrigue, hidden agendas, plots and counter-plots in order to discover who is sabotaging the League. When Micah delves too deeply he makes a horrible discovery: the thing standing between them and success is nothing less than the life of his friends!
- Expedient Measures
The Coalition of Grakis Major has a long-standing custom of inviting League volunteers to help monitor and collect data for its elections. Now, though, its economy is near-disaster and only getting worse. Micah Stone and his team are assigned to assist a candidate who may just be able to change things. Young, charismatic and full of hope, he's also an advocate of increased League trade and is willing to ask for help. After a few suspicious incidents, the team begins to suspect more than meets the eye. After an investigation made harder by the Byzantine nature of Grakian politics, unions and crime cartels, they discover the elements of a massive, shadowy conspiracy. If it reaches fruition it will damage the League's economy and destroy that of Grakis Major and many others between them. Unfortunately for the team, the conspiracy is inextricably linked to the one candidate who seems destined to win. In order to stop this, Micah may well be forced to go rogue and violate one of the League's strongest laws!

Also aboard are their favorite musical stars: Danny Charles, Jon Treyston and Charlie Stringer. All of them are bound for a goodwill tour of the Semid Federation. Disaster strikes just before they land on the luxury resort world of Kathros. Their ship is hijacked and all her passengers taken hostage! Worse, in order to save Jenn he must push her away and show the part of him she has never seen before. Micah must face a madman bent on revenge and even if he and Jenn survive, what comes afterward may well shatter them both!
