El Chess lives in Northern California with her beloved husband, and her cat, Sweetie. El has been called a “miracle” and rightly so. Her first twenty years were dominated by torture, extreme child abuse and trauma. El joined her first 12 Step program in 1982, which set her upon her spiritual path of self-realization, self-healing and self-love. For decades, she has given seminars, workshops and private consultations for adults abused as children. El Chess is the founder of a new 12 Step program, the first of its kind in the world, called ADULTS ABUSED AS CHILDREN ANONYMOUS. She considers herself an angel of hope for others and believes each of you can be one too.
