About this series
After the dissolution of her marriage, Elena Castillo is eager to move on with her life and cement her growing reputation as a top-notch therapist for recovering soldiers. She returns to the east coast with her teenage daughter to step into a very desirable position in the physical therapy department at Camp Lejeune, where her very first patient is Gunnery Sergeant Philip Cameron.
But Elena and Philip have a past that could compromise both of their goals.
Fourteen years earlier, home on compassionate leave, Philip fell in love with Elena, but she was young and he was afraid to declare himself until she had time to discover what she wanted in life. Elena fell hard for her older brother's best friend, but was never sure Philip felt the same about her, so when his leave was up, they parted.
Then 9/11 happened. And Elena discovered she was pregnant.
War tore them apart.
Can its aftermath bring them back together?

"With a deft hand and engaging style, Skye Taylor creates a realistic story with a heart that captivates . . . if you keep your heart open, love heals the deepest wounds. Don't miss this book." ~Vicki Hinze, USA Today Bestselling Author Jake Cameron won't risk hurting his best friend by admitting he loves her. Little does he know . . . that's what hurts her the most. Zoe Callahan, pregnant with the child her ex-boyfriend doesn't want, adores her ramshackle new home in the seaside town of Tide's Way, North Carolina. When she meets handsome Jake Cameron, her next-door neighbor who offers some fixer-upper help, her heart goes out to him instantly. He's the doting dad to three daughters and the kind caretaker to a mom-in-law with early Alzheimer's. Jake is equally smitten with Zoe. But Jake, a contractor and volunteer firefighter from a close-knit family of brothers and a sister, won't risk a romance that could disrupt his family after his ex-wife nearly destroyed it. Despite Jake's efforts to hide his feelings, he and Zoe quickly form an unbreakable bond. Zoe discovers love hasn't given up on her, even if the father of her unborn child did. Now she just needs to figure out why Jake is so determined not to let the heady attraction that sizzles between them turn into something more than friendship. Then disaster strikes, and Jake is Zoe's rescuer. He already has her heart, but now, in spite of the rift that comes between them, she must trust him with her life and the life of her baby. - Loving Meg
2
Will he forgive her moment of weakness? After a year of deployment, Marine lieutenant Meg Cameron returns to Tide's Way tormented by guilt over the kiss she shared with her commanding officer as he comforted her after the death of a military dog. Her husband, Ben, is the love of her life. What will he think when she confesses? Ben Cameron is just happy that his brave, beautiful wife is safely home with him and their young sons. Everything seems fine--at first. In bed, he and Meg are perfect together, until the nightmares come and she calls out a name that's not his. She won't talk about it. Meg struggles to find a way to explain life in a war zone but can't even bring herself to tell Ben, a professional dog trainer, why the traumatized police dog he's rehabilitating tears her heart out: the big shepherd looks just like the bomb dog who died on Meg's team. As Ben's frustrations and fears climb, Meg debates returning to active duty and leaving home again. If Ben can't convince her to trust him, her pain may take her back into harm's way.
- Trusting Will
3
Falling in love could break her heart. Brianna Reagan's life fell apart when her husband, an Army Ranger, was killed in combat. Now, three years later, she and her young son, Sam, have started a new life in Tide's Way. She's determined to protect herself from more heartache. But then she meets Sam's Cub Scout leader, tall, sexy Will Cameron. Will takes one look at the gorgeous blonde and decides his hunt for a temporary apartment is over. There's a space available in Brianna's building. Sam adores Will and has become best pals with Will's nephew, Rick. Brianna quickly learns that Will is a North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper, excelling on and off the job in activities that challenge him mentally and physically. He relishes living life on the edge: rock-climbing, sky-diving, riding motorcycles, and pushing himself to be the best at whatever he does. He's putting himself in the line of danger, just as her late husband did. And he's hoping for a promotion that would transfer him to a state-wide task force, meaning he'll say goodbye to her, Sam, and Tide's Way. As she struggles to remain "just a friend," Will brings tender, patient romance into her life--with the promise of hot passion, when she's ready. Can she resist?
