    Inna Hardison is the author of Escape, the first novel in the Alliance Series. While the books are set in a somewhat dystopian future, the books are ultimately about who we are as human beings, and how the choices we are sometimes forced to make can change us. They are growing up books to the extent that we meet the characters in their late teens, but in the end, it's a human journey, at times a heart breaking journey, and at times a joyous one, but the thing most at stake in all of it isn't saving the human race, but each character's own humanity.
