Hiding from his pursuers, he discovers a beautiful young woman. Hesitant, she asks for a song. He asks for a kiss as payment. That innocent kiss flames through him making him realize she is his own true heart. Alas, she is blind. How can he claim her when he cannot provide a home? Aurora O’Brian, lover of song and poetry, is the daughter of a merchant. Blind since childhood by a tragic accident, she’s sheltered by her overprotective father. Bernard’s gentle kiss awakens suppressed emotions of adventure and independence. Booted from the garden, Merchant O’Brian threatens Bernard’s life. A wanted criminal, Bernard hides aboard the O’Brian caravan to escape the city. He overhears the hired freelancer guards: they plot to kill the travelers and abscond with the goods. What can he do? He’s naught but a simple singer. With his lute as his weapon, he joins forces with the cook and her pot, the merchant and his saber, and Aurora wielding a staff to defeat the knights. Foraging dragons descend to claim the dead bodies. Other victims of foul play are in the woods. Micah and Jenny Leigh have suffered in an ambush and are aided by the O’Brians. The Regina comes at the request of Fiona the Flower Fairy scout and heals the brother and sister. An instant attraction occurs between O’Brian and Jenny. Also, Micah and Fiona know they have loved before. He is carrying the soul of her man-god lover who’s been gone for over 800 years. Goibniu the Master of the Forge awakes in Mica’s body and claims his beloved, Fiona. Prince Darren, consort to the Crystal Sorceress, arrives. He pulls Bernard into the woods to ask about the theft charges. Bernard reveals the vile plot. Darren insists that Bernard go to his keep and keep an eye out for the scoundrel, Ronnie O’Dell. However, O’Dell has already fallen to a horrific evil. Bethany’s magic has awaken many fey species. One of them is the Fomorian leader, Balor. Balor and his ilk feed off the magic and souls of both human and fey. Once he kills Bethany and takes her magic, he’ll be able to resurrect his brethren and conquer New Camelot. A banshee appears and warns the ruling family of Balor’s intent. Bethany hypothesizes that Balor is weak from his long sleep and to deprive him of nourishment brings the local villagers in to the keep. Waiting for Balor to appear and be defeated by her noble bard, Aurora pursues her Bernard with a fox’s cunning, seeking more of his kisses. Bernard desperately keeps her away for he loves her too much to despoil her. Merchant O’Brian hammers down the walls Jeanie has built and claims her love. Goibniu in Micha’s body, resumes his torrid love affair with Fiona. When not creating magical weapons that will kill the demon, he and Fiona sing of Goibniu’s prowess and of the magical properties of his ale. Lugh Lámhfada awakens in Bernard. The man-god knows how to kill Balor. Grandson of the demon, he’s defeated him before. Lugh/ Bernard with the ravens, his familiars, use the magic sword Fragarach to seek Balor. The demon and man-god engage in a due to the death. Balor lifts the flap over his eye and sucks the life from Bernard. But not before Bernard orders the ravens to attack Balor’s face. With a last blow, Bernard severs the head from the distracted Balor. Aurora runs to his body and demands Prince Darren fetch the ale Goibniu brewed for it has mystical healing properties. Forcing it down the desiccated body, she kisses her true love. Bernard awakens, hale and hearty. Given a small duchy for saving the kingdom, Bernard now has roots and the means to support a wife. Once again, true love has defeated evil.

An army amasses on the desert border of medieval New Camelot. Stolen documents are given to Druids with King Wolfrick’s command to decipher the odd-shaped writing. Lord Dillon Asarlaís is a trainee. He and his peers strain in futility to decipher the cryptic writings. He needs a computer and a code breaker from the Old World. He focuses his sorcerer incantation on the individual who can help him; the one he wants more than life itself. Ethereal Titania of modern New York City is a reclusive linguistic. A young man appears in medieval costume and rescues her from muggers. Dillon explains his quest and asks for her help. She thinks he needs psychiatric care and leads him to a hospital. Betrayed, he slams his staff on the floor and whisks them both away. Unnerved, she studies her odd surroundings in a turret room and gives him scant heed while he rants at her perfidy. Overwhelmed by events, she faints when Abraxas, the Queen of the Fey’s pet dragon, inserts his head into the room and pronounces that Titania is an elf. When she recovers, she’s informed that she’s crossed a time and space continuum and is in a mystic realm created by Morgan Le Fey. After reading the documents, Titania realizes that the invaders are Sumerians that seek lands to homestead. Wolfrick growls, “They can’t have mine.” She discovers a prophesy that portends, “When the three queens unite to save the day from the dark, the light will come forth and prosperity will bless the people of the delta.” She points out that there are three queens: Wolfrick’s queen, the Queen of the Fey, and the Sumerian queen. A peaceful outreach between the warring factions goes horribly wrong. Titania is captured and bound for human sacrifice. Dillon, using a transformation spell, comes to her rescue. Beset by young nobles hoping to claim her hand in marriage, it is Dillon that has captured Titania’s heart. True love will not be denied and they become lovers. Dillon knows that the desert was once a fertile delta. Oral myth recalls that Morgan Le Fey created the wasteland to punish culpable elves involved in the battle for Camelot 800 years ago. The only pertinent scrap of parchment found from that period cites “Morgan’s revenge.” Titania hypothesizes that when Morgan wrought her revenge, she captured all of the elves, not just the guilty parties. She fears that when the New Camolites unite to repel the Sumerians, blood will soak the desert and release a monstrous evil. Titania suspects it was Morgan Le Fey’s sister who betrayed her people. The evil Morrigan has manipulated events to allow her to escape her entombment from under the desert sands. A fierce storm grows at the battle front. Carrion birds in the thousands have flocked to the site and wait to feast. Despite the ominous portents, Wolfrick has no choice, he must attack or lose his lands. The young lovers take desperate measures. Abraxas teleports Dillon and Titania to behind enemy lines. There she uses a willow wand to elicit the sacrificial alter to bring forth the river, hoping to release the light elves and keep the dark elves and Morrigan imprisoned. Nothing happens. In frustration, she snatches Dillon’s wand and slams it onto the granite altar. The stone on his wand is a meteorite. It shatters against the monolithic rock. The alien stone cracks the altar and unchains the river creating an increasing deluge. A river and delta slowly take shape. The invaders abandon their positions and fall back to their families. Titania is torn between the freed elves pleading that she is their queen and Dillon’s love. A compromise is negotiated: Titania will be the elfin queen, Dillon her consort and an ambassador. Dillon pulls Titania into his arms and absconds to his room to demonstrate the love he bears for her. After Wolfrick levies dictates of taxes and fealty, the chastised Sumerian leaders retreat across the flooded plain to settle in their new home.

While Stella collects up her grandchildren and takes them to safety, a young knight teleports Matthias to Dragon Keep and the Regina saves his life. Awakening from a healing sleep, Matthias finds Stella in his bed. He smiles at his old love. Finally, they’ve put aside their old heartbreak. Feeling his surge of love, Stella confesses that Chip is his grandson. Matthias is first stunned. Then fury takes over when he realizes what she’s stolen from him: his son, a family, love. He rails at her. Stella flees his vitriol and has the local fairy return her to her Sea Breeze. In both keeps, fairies chastise the old lovers and encourage them to listen to one another and renew their love. Both Stella and Matthias claim it is too late. Too much time and too many wrongs have come between them. They feel the other hates them. The Regina sits with Matthias and reminds him that Lady Stella risked her life and the lives of her grandchildren when she led her forces to rescue him. Chip is a young warrior. He needs Matthias’s guiding hand. A courier gives Stella a message: a new steward is to be appointed. If any harm comes to him, she and her family will be evicted. Stella is resigned. She will acquiesce to the new steward in order to keep her family safe and secure in Sea Breeze. The fairies are aflutter. The new steward is Matthias! Washed up football player Richard Knight is pulled through the time and space continuum and told he can't return until he slays a creature out of nightmares or dies trying. Lady Aoife, a warrior- sorceress doesn't know what to do with the man from the Old World and strives to protect him from a lusty mermaid, a hormonal teenager, and a murderous pirate. For Richard to return home, he and Aoife must combine forces to achieve the impossible goal of removing an entrenched sea serpent. Both are hot tempered and used to employing force to get their way. However, this particular problem does not respond to force. They must learn to control their emotions and think before acting. With their tempers in a death grip, other emotions are free to rise: admiration, desire, and love. They are faced with a heartbreaking decision—fulfill the onus by convincing Fafnir's mate to return to him and depart the area or do nothing and remain together while Aoife's people suffer privation. Invariably, the High Sheriff becomes involved in Malik's affairs. Bronson is determined to hang the perpetrator after a fair trial. Malik has another idea for the evil sorcerer's demise. Juggling three women and a maniac is going to take all of Malik's leadership skills and Keeva's wit to keep the Levi empire intact and unscathed from a talented and diabolical enemy.

High Sheriff Bronson O’Toole has worked for the sheriff’s office since he obtained his warrior-sorcerer powers. Seleta Ursa is a Gypsy. Ten years ago, she witnessed the massacre of a Gypsy caravan by three barons. Because they were Gypsies, justice was denied to the survivors. It is the annual Festival of the Horse in New Camelot. Gypsies from across the realm have arrived to support their king in seeking justice for the massacred innocents. Seleta uses her powers to reclaim gems and gold the murderers stole and leaves terrorizing mementoes behind. Bronson is ordered by his king to find the barons’ gold. His senses detect the reek of fear on the old warriors. They claim no one alive knew about the stones. Bronson’s intuition tells him someone who was supposed to be dead is the thief. He discovers clues: shredded bits of a woman’s bloodied veil and artfully carved daggers. The moment Bronson sees Seleta in an alehouse, he begins an aggressive pursuit. Seleta is torn apart between the love for her family and her love for Bronson. However, her duty is to seek justice for her murdered family. She realizes hers and Bronson’s love can never be and she says she is bespoken to another. Refusing to accept her avowal of another love, Bronson delves deeper into the mysterious thefts. He discovers the knives are Gypsy crafted. His thoughts lead him to their encampment where he finds Seleta. She is whisked away from him by young males. Undeterred, he espies her entering the tent of the Gypsy king. He can’t believe his eyes. What is the connection between Seleta, the Gypsy king, and those knives found at the barons’ estates? He is fearful of the answer his logical mind is grinding out and his intuition is screaming. His last interview with a baron draws a confession from the shriveled old warrior. The old man laughs at Bronson’s attempt to arrest him. There is no proof of the baron’s wrongdoing. The old man confesses why he and his peers don’t want the stones back. They were cursed by a dying Gypsy witch. He recites, “Any time you try to sell those gems, they will weep with our blood. Only the hand of my womb will be able to cleanse them." Bronson knows Seleta and her people are intent on revenge. The Gypsy kingdom is encamped on the front door of New Camelot’s capital. He has to stop them without harming Seleta or inciting a civil war. Odd news is delivered: the Gypsy clans have vanished before the festival’s end. Admonishing his deputy to get powerful help, Bronson teleports to the baron’s castle. He finds it surrounded by a vengeful mob. He stands alone and demands they cease their attack. Prince Darren and his dragons arrive to support Bronson. The gypsy king agrees to talk. Bronson offers to prosecute the three barons in a court of their peers. He feels he has enough evidence: the bloody gemstones, the swatches of Seleta’s mother’s veil, witness testimony and a confession. The gypsy leader makes it clear—if there is no conviction, Bronson doesn’t wed Seleta. The day of the trial arrives. Bronson presents his case and invokes the cursed magic of the blood stones and connects them to the barons with the blood-stained mementos of that night. He can tell by the disgust on the jury’s face that they condemn the barons’ atrocity. However, they can’t believe they did such a vile crime. Seleta senses the jurors wavering. She employs her allure power and demands they return a guilty verdict. They struggle, but fall to her compelling magic. The barons are hung. Bronson gets his Seleta and they are wed in a lavish ceremony. Bronson admits when he came into his powers as a youth, he employed them to obtain justice against a raiding party of Vikings that destroyed his village. He too witnessed a slaughter and heard his parents’ cries for justice in his sleep. Even though Bronson and Seleta come from different castes, it turns out they are not so different after all. Both are compelled to obtain justice

All Delaney Durrow wanted to do was to protect her daughter from the underbelly of New Camelot. She and her husband dreamed of having a “normal” life in the middle-caste and they achieved it, just before he was assassinated. A month later, a very angry knight invades her home demanding she sign over the deed. He claims his mother illegally sold it to Hugh. She has nowhere else to go and refuses to budge. When the tournament champion holds her hostage, she offers a compromise: she will rent a room to him over the winter. In exchange, he is to do odd jobs and protect her and her daughter from a dangerous lover she had in the past. Hugh’s scheming brother has plans to take over the Durrow clan from his father. To do so, Eamon needs her and Anna with their sorceress abilities under his control. Sir Finbar proves he is a knight of worth when he defends Delaney from her ex-lover’s machinations, but as their relationship grows more intimate, she wonders, who is going to defend her heart from him? Despite Sir Finbar’s skill in martial arts and lovemaking, sinister forces close in around Delaney, threatening hers and Anna’s lives. Too late, Delaney realizes things were not as they appeared to be.

For his wastrel behavior, Prince Wolfrick from magical New Camelot is reduced to eating out of trashcans. His dire predicament improves when a modern day woman rescues him and Daren the Bastard, his partner in debauchery. A crystal amulet found at ancient ruins activates Bethany's latent magical ability. Both men ask, "Is she the one?" The one that Wolfrick can love above himself in order to break the curse that turned them into animals? Bethany's powers grow stronger prompting evil to attack. In order for them to survive, Bethany must accept what she is, Wolfrick must learn to love, and Darren must decide in which of the two realms he belongs.

Malice is a black Dungeon Fairy. In order to get her Flower Fairy colors back she has to keep a little Crystal Sorceress safe, prevent a bloody clan war and find the MacDonald traitor that wants to sacrifice her ward to an insane sea goddess. A tall order for a fey creature no bigger than the span of a human hand. Add to that onus, she cannot interfere in human affairs. How’s a fairy to accomplish all that? Jolene MacDonald is the widow of Angus MacDonald and destitute.
