After his parents are lost at sea, 14-year old Archer takes the family trimaran and heads for Australia. Second thoughts make him abandon the trip but before he can head back, he’s thrown through a portal into the parallel world of the immortals. After Archer is told he can live in the city if he makes it safe, he immediately plans to find a way. How difficult can it be to move a crystal ball away from the city? Certain he can eliminate a danger that’s existed for centuries, Archer rapidly discovers he needs all the help he can get to survive the obstacles that lie ahead.

If Archer agrees to help King Zirco, he may not get back in time to go home and expresses his concern. Pacion tells Archer to make his decision with his heart while Skye's messenger assures Archer that King Zirco has confidence he can perform the task. It sounds like a grand adventure and Archer loves adventure more than anything. Without more details of the task, he agrees to accompany the messenger to Skye. What can possibly go wrong?

Fire Sled takes its readers to the high Himalayas where Archer and Aradia must recapture a stolen spaceship and bring it home. Because Archer’s skills will let him and Aradia travel to the parallel world of Archer's childhood to the high Himalayas, they've been called to perform a dangerous task...find and return Fire Sled. The space ship is vital to the kingdom for it contains technical knowledge that Partha can’t afford to lose. After Archer and Aradia arrive at the Himalayan Inn, they encounter another challenge.
