About this series
The flames, lit by a Warlord called Lodestok and a rogue mage named Malekim, that brought the world of Ambros to the edge of chaos, finally die as the children of Melas, and those with them, fulfil Ochleos Rox’s prophecy. In doing so, they discover who they are and unwittingly start a metamorphosis that will, in time, alter the reality of their world.
What is revealed at the Keep unlocks the key to the dawning of new understanding for Ambros. What is released there is more than any could have comprehended and is momentous indeed.
The final revelations of the saga are unexpected. Words left by the Archmage Bene are finally understood. The words link with a ring once given Bene by his sire at the beginning of the saga. There is comprehension of the reason the world of Ambros was plunged into such darkness as Malekim relentlessly pursued his quarry through whatever means he could.
Bene's family now comprehend how their existence allows Ambros to again become stable, action countered by reaction, and light and dark balanced. Through this knowledge they will change their world, their rare heritage enriching both Ambros and beyond. They move into a new age. The circle is complete. It’s time for the inevitable metamorphosis that will come.

- The Dawn of Balance
4
Life on Ambros has reached a critical point. A confrontation between the upholders of light and one who embraces the dark has left participants either weakened, hurt or faded from Ambros. Malekim’s use of his apprentice has left the young man drained and his life tenuous. Has he the strength and will to live and recover so he may, in time, be able to confront what awaits him at the Keep? And will Malekim menace that very recovery? While Malekim rides south, battle is joined as the two armies clash again. The decisive battle, on Elban soil, draws close. Other beings and creatures not of Ambros are now active because Malekim has made it impossible for them to be otherwise. The balance is still uncertain. Which way will it tilt?
- Warlord
1
Enter a unique world, where creatures and powerful beings, thought to be the stuff of myths and legends, become reality. The Rox, Mages, Dragons and omnipotent entities known as the Unseen Ones, dimly seen through the mists of time, now, in the Third Age, see the world of Ambros is threatened. Ochleos Rox’s prophecy, from long ago, now has dreadful meaning. Shadows begin to cloud Ambros as the world's very existence hangs in the balance. Malekim, a powerful, malevolent mage, will destroy Ambros as he seeks ancient quarry. To help achieve his ends he enlists a man of legendary cruelty, the Churchik Warlord Lodestok, who will build an empire ruled by Warriors and serviced by slaves. The future of Ambros looks bleak indeed. Ancient Archmage Bene, confronts overwhelming dark forces. It is his daughter’s children who are the unwitting instruments of balance. In the fight against destructive forces, their only weapons are unrecognized talents that may help them survive overwhelming odds, in a world torn apart by the Warlord’s violence. As well, Malekim marks all but one of the children for death. Who will survive? Will ancient creatures and powerful beings once again become active on Ambros and ensure the balance and survival of their chosen species?
- Quenching the Flames
6
The flames lit by Lodestok and the rogue mage Malekim, that brought the world of Ambros to chaos, still flicker. Will they be quenched or flare again as Ambros struggles to slowly recover? Will there be conflict between the Sinhalien and the Churchik? Who can help avert it? True understanding of the use and power of the mind among those talented finally begins, but comprehension comes about in unexpected ways and partly through a child no one knew existed. Who is the child called Obaron? So, Ambros moves inexorably to balance, though there’s instability in the south that has to, finally, be resolved. The Churchik must allow this world rest as they, too, try to find a place in the new order that has to come. The flames that consumed Ambros begin to die.
- Children of Ambros
Stay in a world where mythology starts to become the reality. Ancient creatures and powerful beings do come again to an Ambros that hangs, even more, in the balance. It’s the young of Melas, daughter of an Archmage, who are now the instruments of that balance. It’s these children who are still scattered across Ambros as they struggle to survive in a now unrecognisable and torn apart world. A Warlord, and a rogue mage, Malekim, thrive in the chaos. So much faces these children, their paths hard, yet not all is dark in their lives as they are protected by others who offer strength and friendship.
- Circling Birds of Prey
Destiny calls for Ambros. The children who hold the balance of this world in their hands gather in the north. Confrontation looms. Battle lines are drawn. War is inevitable. Mage conflict, unknown on this world for aeons, returns with mages from Yarilo called to maintain the equilibrium so critically poised. Malekim, the rogue mage, leaves his southern Keep where he’s lain low and mostly hidden while he regained in strength and power, though what he's set in train for Ambros seems irreversible. Can a strong, motivated northern army, made up of many peoples of Ambros, hold back the might and power of the Warlord’s warrior army that moves inexorably northwards to challenge them? Ochleos Rox’s prophecy, from so long ago, now begins to fulfil itself though Malekim can still ensure it doesn’t happen. And other beings stir, restless.
- Light Dancing on Shadows
Ambros inches slowly towards the balance spoken of by Ochleos Rox. Forces can still destabilise a world struggling for equilibrium. A vengeful Malekim rides for his centre of power – the Keep in the south. The mages on Yarilo watch the rogue mage with some anxiety. There is chaos across much of Ambros that can cause strife and imbalance. Cities are destroyed or uninhabitable and slaves, freed, wander dispossessed and bitter. And what of the children who hold the balance? One flees across Ambros to escape an unwanted destiny, another must return to the Keep and another tries for stability in an alien society which is in ferment and as destabilised as elsewhere on Ambros. Times of treachery and betrayal may soon come to the Churchik world that could affect others. Light begins to dance on Ambros but there are still shadows. The bonding that will bring peace has begun.
- Metamorphosis
The flames, lit by a Warlord called Lodestok and a rogue mage named Malekim, that brought the world of Ambros to the edge of chaos, finally die as the children of Melas, and those with them, fulfil Ochleos Rox’s prophecy. In doing so, they discover who they are and unwittingly start a metamorphosis that will, in time, alter the reality of their world.
