Daisy Savage has one goal when she signs up to volunteer at her daughter's high school: get her hours done and go home. But that's before she discovers the school's computer lab has been robbed over the weekend, leaving a shell-shocked staff and a computerless student body. What starts out as a week of helping around the school's office quickly turns into Daisy scrambling to put together a last-minute fundraiser to buy new equipment. As she struggles to get the event off the ground, she's sidelined by the discovery of some strange going-ons at the school. Why do so many staff members seem to have access to the school on the weekends when it's been declared off-limits by the school president? Why is the leader of the PTA so interested in purchasing new computers? And why does the computer teacher seem happy that the computers have vanished? The pressure mounts for Daisy to pull the fundraiser together just as Jake, her easygoing husband, attempts to put the brakes on her amateur sleuthing. To make matters worse, she has to contend with an angst-filled teenager who refuses to be seen with her at school, three other kids who miss her at home, and her best friend's husband, who is eager to help crack the case by putting his pseudo-detective skills to the test. Will Daisy discover the truth about what happened to the school's computers? More importantly, can her family survive another mystery with Daisy firmly planted in the thick of things?

All Daisy Savage wants is a vacation. A romantic getaway with her husband. Seven blissful days at a fancy resort to relax, recharge and renew. What she gets instead is a dead body at a campground. When Daisy and her husband Jake head north to Minnesota's lake country for a weeklong stay at a lakeside retreat, they're surprised to find out the place they've won a trip to is neither lakeside or much of a retreat. Stumbling upon a dead body makes the place even less attractive. The charms of the campground begin to grow on Daisy, however, and she can't help but be troubled by the bad luck that seems to be raining down on Delilah, the quirky owner of Windy Vista. The more questions she asks, the more things don't add up. And the more curious Daisy becomes. Despite Jake's pleas to end her amateur investigating, Daisy finds herself in the middle of trying to save the campground from ruin. Doing so, though, puts her in the middle of vandals, liars, thieves and...a murderer. Which turns out to be anything but a vacation.

Snow White is missing. When the star of the Moose River community theater’s production goes missing, Daisy is reluctantly drawn to the case – and not just because her two youngest daughters have been cast in the play. Nothing adds up about the girl’s disappearance, including the fact that the local police aren’t too interested in pursuing the case. The more Daisy digs, the more suspects come to light. The director’s primadonna daughter, who was passed over for the lead. The director herself, who might have had a change of heart over her casting choice. And a local cheer coach, who has reasons of her own for wanting Snow White gone. The stakes are raised when Daisy finds herself banned from the theater. Daisy is determined to discover where Snow White is, ready to take a bite of the poison apple or fight with the wicked witch if that's what it takes. Because the show must go on.

When Jake’s ex-wife moves to Minnesota, Daisy does her best to make Stella Gardner feel welcome. She puts on a smile as she helps Stella move into her new home, and she even invites her to Thanksgiving dinner, hoping for a smooth transition as they redefine their blended family.  But when Stella confides that she’s receiving threats at her new job, Daisy realizes that Stella’s life is being complicated by more than just sharing holidays and custody. And when those threats take a darker turn – a turn that affects Daisy and her family, too – she knows she’s going to have to get involved. Because her family’s happiness – and safety – depends on it.

Birthdays are a time for celebration…and murder? Daisy and her family travel to sunny Florida to help celebrate Jake’s grandmother’s 100th birthday, intent on reconnecting with Jake’s extended family and enjoying the sites. Things immediately hit a snag, though, when Daisy finds a dead woman in Aunt Gloria’s kitchen: Agnes Clutterbuck, a neighbor and archenemy of Jake’s aunt. As Daisy and Jake try to prepare for the big birthday bash and fulfill promises of Disney World visits to the kids, the investigation around Agnes’ death intensifies, and Aunt Gloria is soon considered the prime suspect. Despite Jake’s pleas, Daisy can’t leave things alone and she soon discovers that Gloria isn’t the only one with the motive to kill Agnes. The senior citizen community is filled with residents who disliked Agnes, and the pool of potential suspects grows. But local law enforcement is determined to pin the crime on Gloria. With time of the essence, Daisy realizes it’s up to her to solve the mystery before it’s too late. Because they still have a birthday to celebrate.

When Daisy's daughter, Emily, takes a job at a local restaurant she ends up serving more than she bargained for. Moose River’s beloved Officer Ted falls ill after eating some tasty tacos, and all signs point to foul play. Emily worries that her job is on the line, but Daisy quickly realizes there are far bigger concerns, especially when potential suspects start coming out of the woodwork. Daisy soon realizes she needs to act fast. Not only is Emily’s job on the line, but the safety of the residents of Moose River might be, too. 

Daisy Savage and her family were promised a weekend of fun at Northwoods University. They got a dead body instead. When Emily, Daisy’s eldest daughter, makes plans to visit a college in northern Minnesota, the whole family decides to tag along to check out the campus and take part in the weekend festivities. After all, it’s a free vacation, and a chance to check out a part of the state they’ve never visited. But after a scavenger hunt goes wrong and the family finds a student dead in a dormitory, Daisy decides it’s time to do some serious studying…of the crime. Despite the flurry of planned activities, Daisy finds time to talk to plenty of students and faculty members, and she soon learns something: each of them had a clear motive to commit murder. And as she closes in on the real suspect, something else turns out to be true. College really can be murder.
