Description
In ancient days, the rulers of Rome would use events like gladiatorial games or chariot races to keep the masses occupied from the theft and corruption of their leaders. They added free bread (or food) to the equation as well to really seal the deal. Meanwhile, while the population was enraptured by artificially designed scenarios, their government was stealing and robbing from them at such a huge clip that it would lead to the empire crumbling. Fast forward 2000 + years and not much has changed as the governments around the world try the same exact tactics, just using different technology to keep their people pacified.
