Description

In the 5 AM Hour: Larry O’Connor and Julie Gunlock discussed:

Maryland Primary Results Recap

Governor Larry Hogan @GovLarryHogan: I want to congratulate County Executive Alsobrooks on her nomination. I know Angela well, and I value our respectful relationship. I look forward to a real debate on what this campaign is about: who can actually help fix the mess in Washington. Voters have a clear and stark choice: more of the dysfunctional  partisan status quo or real independent and bipartisan leadership. We need leaders who will stand up to the political bosses and bring both parties together to actually get things done, like keeping our communities safe, improving education, and addressing the out-of-control cost of living. I have a proven track record of that exact kind of strong independent leadership.

Angela Alsobrooks has officially won the 2024 Maryland Senate Democrat Primary. She defeated David Trone.

David Trone spent $60M on a Democrat primary he isn't going to come close to winning and Maryland has 6.1M residents, which means he could have given every person in MD $9.83 with the money that he wasted."

In House races,  Democrat April McClean Delaney will face Republican Neal Parrott in the Western Maryland 6th District seat in November...

In the 3rd District - Democrat Sarah Elfreth beat former U.S. Capitol police officer Harry Dunn  for the chance to succeed John Sarbanes...

Democrat Johny Olzsewski wins the democratic nomination in the second district to succeed retiring Dutch Ruppersberger...   He'll face republican Kim Klacik in November.

Democrat David Trone: I can relate to black people because I grew up without plumbing in a family of alcoholics.
