Anakin's Ghost Visits Luke and Yoda on Dagobah - Star Wars Explained Original Scripts: What if Anakin had shown up to Luke Skywalker on Dagobah with Yoda? How is this possible, you ask? Well, in the original screenplay for The Empire Strikes Back, George Lucas was going to have Anakin Skywalker be a different character than Darth Vader. This would have made Obi-Wan Kenobi's lie to Luke, about his father being killed by Vader, true. It was later changed of course, and we got Vader dropping the line "NO! I AM YOUR FATHER!" which still shocks Star Wars fans who watch Empire for the first time. by Star Wars Theory

The FAKE Return of the Jedi Script with Luke Written to Avoid Spoilers: The Making of Star Wars Return of the Jedi reveals a ton of stuff about the movie and original script. In today's episode, let's go over the fake script that was put out there when the film wasn't released yet. George Lucas instated this fake script to avoid spoilers in the audience, which of course, was way easier to avoid back then, than today. In this fake script, we get Luke Skywalker defeating Palpatine, throwing the Emperor over the railing as Vader did. We also see a different Vader when Luke unmasks him. A much more non-human Anakin Skywalker. This fake script is the most official fan-fiction we could get for the ending of Return of the Jedi. If Luke killed the Emperor, it wouldn't have closed the circle for Anakin's fulfillment of the prophecy. Anakin HAD to kill the Emperor. Let me Explain the Obi-Wan and Mace Windu Deleted Scene: In the book Star Wars Archives Prequels 1999-2005, there's some concept art from a deleted scene with Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The dialogue in this scene, I believe could have changed a lot of things in Star Wars in regards to alerting the Jedi of Anakin and Padme's relationship (as if it wasn't clear enough).
