Description
On to today’s homemaker portrait, I am chatting with Alecia Doty. She was nominated by her friend Tina Bergs. Here’s what Tina had to say about Alecia’s practice of the art of home: "Alecia makes her home a place where children are nurtured in the love of Christ and pointed to what is true, good, and beautiful. She is a welcoming hostess who intentionally uses her home as a place where souls can find rest, and be met with the love of Christ."After spending an hour or so in conversation with Alecia, I can see why Tina gave such a glowing recommendation. Alecia has such great insight into the art of home. She poignantly explains that homemaking is a beautiful, hard, sanctifying, creative adventure; a high and holy calling which, if we allow, God will use to draw us to himself and transform us into the image of Jesus so that the Gospel will be displayed through our homemaking.EPISODE NOTESShow Notes | https://www.theartofhomepodcast.com/blogAllison's UpdateImmersion Stick BlenderPastry BlenderEdith Schaeffer, Hidden Art of HomemakingSally Clarkson Podcast, At Home with SallyAlecia's TGC Article; "Dear Younger Self: It Doesn't Matter How He Folds the Bedsheets"Daily Liturgy HelpsEvery Moment Holy The Art of Home Deep Dive Rhythms & RoutinesHOMEMAKING RESOURCESFree Weekly Newsletter, Homemaker Happy MailNewsletter ArchiveJR Miller's Homemaking Study GuideAudio Newsletter available to Titus 2 Woman monthly supportersSUPPORT & CONNECT Review | Love The Podcast Contact | Voicemail |Instagram | Facebook | Website | Email Follow | Follow The PodcastSupport | theartofhomepodcast.com/supportSupport the Show.
