Wells is a 2018-20 Public Interest Fellow, a 2018 Claremont Institute Publius Fellow, and 2016 Hertog Foundation Political Studies Fellow. He holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Davidson College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
