The trade deadline has come, and the Colorado Avalanche are definitively better than they were this time last week. Three more trades came through as the Avalanche acquired Yakov Trenin and Brandon Duhaime to round out their bottom six, and put the finishing touches on a true Stanley Cup contending roster. The reinforcements have fully arrived with Val Nichushkin's return to the lineup and the debut of all four new additions to the roster, taking down the Minnesota Wild in overtime, complete with Nichushkin scoring the winner. Finally, looking around the league after the trade deadline concludes.
