The Lakers have been struggling a ton since the IST, and needed a palate cleanser. To say the least, Thursday's visitors to the Crypt, the Charlotte Hornets, offered the best opportunity for that if the team could take advantage.And after a slow first half, the Lakers managed to do just that. Lakers win 133-112, in a game that managed to get a little closer in garbage time.Good performances across the board for the Lakers, but perhaps the nicest stat? Anthony Davis and LeBron James didn't have to play a minute in the fourth quarter, and neither guy got close to 30 minutes of work on the night. Meanwhile, Rui Hachimura, D'Angelo Russell, and Austin Reaves all had double digits in the scoring column, and were joined by Jaxson Hayes (granted, in garbage time) and Max Christie (and LeBron and AD, obviously). Christie wasn't a garbage time special, either as both he and Christian Wood re-entered the rotation for a night as Cam Reddish sat with a groin injury.Reddish's injury did, for a night at least, get people talking about something other than the new Lakers starting lineup. Or at the least, slowed it down. Hachimura, btw, started for Reddish.Is it hard to tell what Darvin Ham is doing these days? A little.But for one game, at least, the decisions probably didn't matter all that much, since the Lakers were playing a really bad team on their home floor.
