Description

A day has passed since a weird weekend that began with Russell Westbrook splitting with long-time agent Thad Foucher (according to Foucher's statement, over a conflict about Westbrook's future with the Lakers) and ended with LeBron James dominating the Drew League after sending out a tweet that felt like possibly trolling his current teammate. Increasingly, it appears LeBron would prefer Russ become an ex-teammate, but for the time being, there's no traction on a deal for his preferred/former running mate, Kyrie Irving. If anything, it feels just as likely that LeBron and Russ could be stuck together for another season under less than ideal circumstances.Either way, it's been a brutal year for Westbrook's image, as Foucher noted while explaining his side of the story. With Brian out on vacation, Andy spoke with Silver Screen and Roll writer/podcaster Alex Regla (@alexmregla) about this mess in L.A., LeBron's possible endgame here, and Westbrook's fall from grace. Plus, his thoughts on the Lakers' Summer League team, which was fun to watch, and spotlighted the sharpshooting Cole Swider, who has fans clamoring for more than a two-way contract with the Lakers.Hosts: Andy Kamenetzky and Brian KamenetzkySEGMENT ONE: Alex Regla gives his perspective on LeBron and Russ.SEGMENT TWO: How did it go so wrong so dramatically for Russ?SEGMENT THREE: Thoughts on Swider, Max Christie, Jay Huff, Scotty Pippen Jr. and more.Andy and Brian Kamenetzky bring you a daily look into the Los Angeles Lakers and the NBA.
