The New Orleans Saints appear no closer to solving their quarterback issues with Derek Carr visiting the New York Jets. While the Jets claim to view Carr as a first-ballot hall of fame, they look to also be waiting on decisions around Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson. Carr has the ability to take his time in NFL free agency though as he’s the best option beyond those two. For New Orleans, the best-case is that at least Rodgers hits the market. Otherwise, it seems likely they’d run things back with Andy Dalton in 2023.Ryan Ramczyk and Will Lutz help alleviate some of the Saints’ salary cap overage, but Lutz’s contract move is a very interesting one.
