On Sunday, after starting the year 2-9-1 the Edmonton Oilers fired head coach and named Kris Knoblauch as his replacement. Knoblauch and Oilers CEO of Hockey Operations, Jeff Jackson, as well as Connor McDavid, have a long history with Kris, dating back to his days as head coach of the Erie Otters during McDavid's tenure.
