Jesus then moves to Capernaum, fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy, and preaches about the need for repentance as the kingdom of heaven is near. During a visit to Nazareth, Jesus reads from Isaiah in the synagogue, declaring the fulfillment of the scripture in Him. However, His message of hope and freedom isn't received well in His hometown. The townspeople, unable to see beyond Jesus' familiar background, react with anger and disbelief.
