In this episode, we explore two foundational navigation techniques in aviation: Pilotage and Dead Reckoning. We uncovered the art of pilotage, relying on visual landmarks and ground references to navigate with precision. We then navigated the mental map of dead reckoning, where pilots calculate their current position based on previously known positions and estimated speeds and headings.
