After delving into the origins of Barber’s and Joey’s creative partnership, they walk us through the opera’s first four songs: SHOCKED, THE WORMHOLE, TWISTED IN THE ROAD, and ANOTHER PLAN OF ATTACK. Barber and Joey introduce the saga’s cast of characters, unpack the meanings behind their lyrics, and trace the evolution of the opera’s first four songs from their earliest demos through their fully-realized final forms.
