Rafael Nadal took a medical timeout during his three set loss to Jordan Thompson as he felt muscle issues in the same area as he did a year ago, when he lost to Mackenzie MacDonald at the 2022 Australian Open.

He didn't play for a year after that hip injury and Nadal said he won't know how his body is until he wakes up tomorrow.
