On Saturday, October 11th, 2003, police were called to County Road 136B, 10 miles north of Espanola, following the discovery of a deceased female – 37-year-old Yvonne Martinez. Yvonne had been brutally murdered, and it was clear from the scene that a struggle had occurred.
