To continue our journey into the lives of lesser known queens who suffered some sort of isolation, we bring you Sophia Alekseyevna of Russia. Sophie was daughter and sister to the tsars of Russia. She was the first woman to act as regent in 200 years, but not everything went according to plan. 
We pair this episode with a drink called the Black Russian and it is just as strong as Sophia herself! Cheers!
