George Yancey (PhD, University of Texas) is a professor at the Institute for Studies of Religion at Baylor University, specializing in race/ethnicity and religion. He works to promote collaborative communication as a solution to racial unrest. He is the author, coauthor, or coeditor of books such as Compromising Scholarship: Religious and Political Bias in American Higher Education, One Faith No Longer: The Transformation of Christianity in Red and Blue America, There Is No God: Atheists in America, Hostile Environment: Understanding and Responding to Anti-Christian Bias, Beyond Racial Gridlock, Beyond Racial Division and Transcending Racial Barriers.
