Professor Plokhy's new book, The Russo-Ukrainian War: the Return of History, was published in May, 2023. He previously published The New York Times bestseller, The Gates of Europe: A History of Ukraine, in 2015. Professor Finnin's book, The Blood of Others, was published in April 2022.
