There are reports out Friday saying that the San Diego Padres and New York Yankees aren't close on a Juan Soto trade. A.J. Preller wants Michael King, Drew Thorpe and "as many as four or five other prospects". San Diego is interested in salary relief and getting out of Trent Grisham's contract as well. Plus, there's another team out there that is engaging with the Padres for Soto.
