The Legend of the Cuetlaxochitl: The legend of the Cuetlaxochitl, now more commonly called the Poinsettia or the Christmas flower, has a long history in Mexico. Before the Spanish, it had different medicinal uses and one 16th century legend would forever associate it with Christmas. We (Cristina and MJ) also share Christmas traditions we grew up with, different Christmas traditions around Latin America, we talk about El Dia de los Reyes Magos, some St Nicholas history and we end the episode with an Espooky Christmas story (around minute 34:00 if you want to skip all the Christmas stuff and go straight to the espooky stuff). We hope you enjoy- Cristina and MJ.
