In this sermon, Pastor MacArthur reminds us that God allows pain in our lives for a purpose. He uses it to grow us in our faith, to make us more compassionate, and to conform us to the image of Christ. When we are suffering, we learn to rely on God more, appreciate the good times more, and empathize with others who are suffering. We are also becoming more like Jesus, who suffered greatly for our sins. God is always with us in our pain, and He will use it for His good purpose.
