Last month, Zeltenreich Reformed Church in Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania, hosted a mini-conference entitled, “The End of Christendom?” The conference featured two sessions by Dr. W. Robert Godfrey. In his talks, Godfrey argued that Christendom has been marked by coercion and that in the gospel accounts, Jesus “didn’t have a coercive bone in his body.” He also contended that Christendom ended in 2015. In this first part of a two-part analysis, Chris, Joel, Luke, and Travis critique Godfrey’s first session on “The End of Christendom.”
