Description
Sabrina Jaglom, writer and director of the new hit thriller Jane, stopped by to discuss what it was like seeing a script she co-wrote come alive before her eyes on set. Jaglom said she knew she wanted to direct it from the second she began working on the script. Jaglom also discusses how happy she was to be working with the talent she got for the film, including Melissa Leo and Madelaine Petsch. She also discusses the importance of setting it at an all-girls school and the pressures we face as young women, especially regarding social media. Jaglom said she hopes people enjoy the film because it's dark and fun, sprinkled in with high school moments we can all relate to.

Sabrina Jaglom is an LA-based writer and director. Most recently, she directed the feature film, Jane, which she co-wrote with Rishi Rajani. The film stars Madelaine Petsch, Chlöe Bailey, and Melissa Leo, and will be released in Fall 2022. Additionally, two scripted podcasts that she wrote and directed released this year: Listening In starring Rachel Brosnahan for QCode, and Wheel Woman for iHeartRadio. She began her career working in film/TV development at Fox Lit and Whalerock Industries, and then went on to serve as an associate producer on the feature film Home Again. Sabrina has directed multiple award-winning music videos and short films, the most recent of which, Unforgettable, premiered on Watch Dust’s platform. She has also directed various stage productions, including the West Coast premiere of Empathitrax as well as This Party Sucks, produced by Val Kilmer’s HelMel. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television.
Jane premieres in select AMC theaters on Friday, August 26 and will be streaming exclusively on Creator+ on Friday, September 16.
