(11/7/23) Markets closed above the 50-DMA Monday. A retest of support today won't be surprising. Market performance going into Thanksgiving tends to be a bit sloppy; after Thanksgiving and Black Friday, markets tend to reassess and typically have a rally in the last week of November and first week of December. What we need now to set a good tone for the end of the year is a breakout of the current negative tend channel. There remains a risk to the downside, even though no specific, negative catalyst for markets has been identified.
