Head Men's Basketball Coach at Mississippi State Chris Jans joins the show on the Farm Bureau guest line talking about the team heading into the upcoming season. Coach Jans talks about his experiences and memories of Bobby Knight after his passing. Coach Jans mentions that he was able to attend some of the late coaches practices and how his temper would flare if people were talking to loud. Coach Jans talks about knowing Coach Knights son at Texas Tech and how this allowed him to go to practices of Bobby's teams. Coach Jans says how Coach Knight would outperform other teams with less talent and that was because of how he coached. Bo asks Coach Jans about the injury to star player Tolu Smith and Coach jsut wants him to come back when he is actually healthy. Coach Jans looks at guard Shakeel Moore and how he has improved both as a player and as a leader for the team. JOsh Hubbard is a highly sought after prospect out of Madison, MS, that landed at Mississippi State and Coach Jans talks about the the impact the young player has already had as a leader. Bo asks Coach Jans who the best shooter on the team is and he lists three players he thinks could be in contention for the title. Bo tells Coach that his favorite player is Cam Matthews and Coach Jans talks about how he is a Swiss army knife but he needs to stay out of foul trouble. Coach looks at DJ Jeffries and how he might be one of the better on-ball defenders in the country for his size.
