In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the Capitals loss to the Islanders 3-0. The Capitals struggled right out of the gate as the Isles scored quickly to get their first goal. The Islanders applied the pressure and the Capitals didn't have any real good answers for that pressure. Despite the fact that the Capitalsk outshot the Islander they still lost. The Caps are strugglin on 5 on 5 hockey and that's something that need to improve. Later Dan talks about the Backstrom effect and how some are saying the Capitals lost tonight because of Backstrom out of the lineup. In the last segment Dan talks about how TJ Oshie was the first Capital to wear neck protection equipment as a Capital
