Description
The College Basketball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) of the Sports Gambling Podcast Network previews the Big Ten Conference with their 2023-24 season preview. On the show Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD), Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac), Noah Bieniek (@NoahB77_), and Rob Donaldson (@RobDFB) break down every single team in the Big Ten and key in on how they think the conference race will shake out. Purdue's season ended after losing to 16-seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the NCAA Tournament. The Boilermakers return almost their entire team including 2023 National Player of the Year Zach Edey. Can Matt Painter lead his squad to a National Championship. Almost everybody returns for Tom Izzo from last year's Sweet 16 run. Are the Michigan State Spartans the Big Ten's best National Title candidate?
The Big Ten's 2nd place finishers from last year had 8 losses, and 8 of the top 11 teams finished within two games of each other in the standings. Could the Big Ten's standings be another jumbled mess this season? Maryland has a very talented trio of players in Jahmir Young, Julian Reese, and Donta Scott. Wisconsin returns basically everyone from a disappointing season that was plagued with injuries. Indiana's Mike Woodson looks to stay afloat in the Big Ten by recycling Xavier Johnson as his point guard and boosting his roster with talented freshmen.
Chris Holtmann returns to coach Ohio State after hot seat murmurs as he aims for a bounce back season. Chris Collins and Boo Buie guided Northwestern to the program's second NCAA Tournament appearance last year, they're back. Fran McCaffrey attempts to reload at Iowa. Hunter Dickinson transferred out of Michigan. Steve Pikiell attempts to keep Rutgers alive this year with an incredible recruiting class coming in next year. Mike Rhoades brings Ace Baldwin with him to Penn State. The College Basketball discusses all the storylines and more on this episode.
