Description

In the second part of our student groups series, we introduce you to Cafete, the student-run, non-profit, fair-trade café where you not only get different kinds of coffee and hot chocolate (plus seasonal specials!), but you also can vote for the organisation(s) that the cafete donates their earnings to at the end of each semester. @cafete_unihohenheim
If you already have (semi)solid German skills, you can join the Debate Club. Here you can enhance critical thinking and train your debating skills in a safe environment and lots of useful feedback. @debattierclubhohenheim
If you're interested in sustainability and want to learn what you can do (locally & globally) to lead a sustainable and environment-friendly life in Hohenheim (and beyond), you have great options to choose from: AKN and FRESH are groups that dedicate their actions to improving the environment and educating people on sustainable living. AKN is the umbrella organisation of all groups and initiatives caring about sustainability, and organises multiple events throughout the semester. @aknunihohenheim
You are into agriculture and slow food? FRESH is a group that oftentimes can be seen at the pizza oven or while working in the FRESH garden in Schwerzstrasse! @fresh_hohenheim

This podcast is directed to our international students. We talk about study-related issues but also about your new life in Germany which can be tricky: Where do I get curtains? Which shops are cheap? Where do I find jobs? But we also want to bring you closer to the country and its people, get to the bottom of Swabian peculiarities and discuss German culture with internationals - and what is that anyway? Tune in! Further information for international students and prospective students can be found here: https://www.uni-hohenheim.de/en/office-of-international-affairs
