As we rapidly approach the unofficial but yet official second-half mark of the NHL and fantasy hockey season it's a good time of the fantasy schedule to start considering shaking up your roster and bolstering your lineup for a big second-half push for the top fantasy spots in your league.

Whether you are in a keeper/dynasty league or not, pegging some players that are set for big-time second halves of the season can go a long way to having your fantasy hockey squad either in the money or out of it. Which is why on Wednesday's episode we breakdown the top-five second half breakout candidates in the world of fantasy hockey. Players such as: Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks, Devon Toews and Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche and a trio of players from the Florida Panthers.

That trio obviously includes both Panthers goaltending options in Sergei Bobrovsky and Spencer Knight but also blue-liner Aaron Ekblad who once again is having an injury-impacted fantasy hockey campaign. We also look at Aleksander Barkov and on other teams such as the Calgary Flames for a big-time second-half bounce-back for the likes of Jacob Markstrom and Jonathan Huberdeau.
