Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection and has been a public health target in the United States for some time. As many as 80%-90% of sexually active adults have contracted HPV and about 50% of infections are at high risk of leading to cancer. Despite the availability of commercial vaccinations for HPV, education of clinicians and patients alike remains less than optimal.
