While the fourth movie in the "Purge" franchise, The First Purge is a prequel and details the beginning of the lawless night started on Staten Island, NY. Focusing on Black and Brown lower socioeconomic citizens, the government allows for a single 12 hour period where all crime is legal, including murder.
