While the trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten football championship ended on a sour note, the loss to Michigan hardly dampens Iowa's season. A West Division crown and 10-3 over-all record has the Hawkeyes playing New Year's Day against Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl at Orlando. There was an interesting sidebar to the Hawkeyes and Wolverines.
