Rafael Barlowe shares his thoughts on five prospects who have helped their draft stock in the super early stages of the 2023-24 draft cycle.

6'7" 18 year old Serbian PG Nikola Topic is off to a hot start averaging 18 points 4.6 assists while shooting 48.8% from floor and 41.7% from deep. Topic has made a name for himself as one of the best NBA prospects in Europe over the last year.

Alex Sarr is coming off a tremendous showing at the G League Fall Invitational where he posted averages of 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6 blocks per game on 59% shooting. Sarr has positioned himself to be a candidate to be selected 1st overall in 2024.

Tyler Smith has shown glimpses of his potential as a sweet shooting 6'10" forward that can protect the rim. Still only 18 years old, Smith has re-emerged as a top prospect after flying under the radar at OTE.

Lachlan Olbrich and Ben Henshall have benefitted the most in the early stages of the 2023-24 season with their strong play. Olbrich was arguably the best player at the NBL Blitz, shooting a blistering 19-22 from the floor, while Henshall put himself on the NBA radar after back to back solid performances against the G League Ignite in early September.
