Description
The You're Missing Out team were hoping to have some much needed rest over Labor Day weekend. They thought "Let's do a simple, silly bonus episode this week." They thought "Let's get some friends together, let's find an idea that's short, and fun, and will only take about an hour." They were gravely mistaken. This episode was ill-advised. You're Missing Out is normally about the National Film Registry, but there are, of course, other equally prestigious honors given out annually. In this bonus episode, we take a look at one such honor: Every year since 1985, the editors of People magazine have selected one celebrity to declare the Sexiest Man Alive. The criteria? The man must be culturally, historically, or aesthetically attractive. This week on You’re Missing Out, we’ll take a look at all of these celebs, to try to get to the heart of why they were selected, and why they’re still sexy. This week, we’re joined by guests Bella Zaydenberg and Carrie McCabe to talk about People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.
