Description

Before I left Bute Island Radio, I produced two complete episodes, with one other episode still in the planning stages. One episode made it to air; the others did not. This was the episode that made it to air. This was the premiere episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO for Bute Island Radio.

If you are unaware of what transpired with Bute Island Radio, I suggest you read my announcement post HERE and then read my resignation post HERE.

For my first episode on Bute Island Radio, I thought I'd take advantage of the popularity of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and the recent release of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE, and play music from Spy Films. On the program I played selections from MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE (Elfman), MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING PART ONE (Balfe), MUNICH (Williams), NOTORIOUS (Webb), THE IPCRESS FILE (Barry), THE TAILOR OF PANAMA (Davey) and THE RUSSIA HOUSE (Goldsmith).

This was the most fun I've had producing a program since my John Williams tribute a few years ago! I hope you enjoy the commentary and the selections.

For 25 years Cinematic Sound Radio has been playing the very best music from film, TV and video games. We feature music from the golden age classic scores of the 30, 40 and 50s, the retro silver age scores from the 60s and 70s, all the way through to the 80s, 90s and the modern-day classics of the 21st century. When tuning in you'll hear interviews with composers, orchestrators, musicians, authors, soundtrack experts and industry insiders. We also do deeper dives into some of the best scores ever composed. And, of course, you'll hear LOTS of great music. The Cinematic Sound Radio Podcast features ten unique shows exploring one of the most underappreciated art forms by people who are passionate about the art form. We hope you enjoy the programming as much as we do producing them. When tuning in you'll hear interviews with your favourite composers, orchestrators, musicians, and industry insiders.
