Description

HAPPY HUMP DAY! Gojo, Golic, and Charlotte start today off with…
(02:20) -  What Gojo is hoping is the last installment of the Sean Payton, Nathaniel Hackett saga after hearing the Jets OC responds to the Broncos head coach using the infamous ‘glass house’ metaphor. Charlotte says she loves the prolonged drama and coach speak while Golic thinks Hackett was right saying Payton “broke code” slandering him publicly but was surprised Hackett said as much as he did. Gojo says Nathaniel Hackett went to make sure Sean Payton feels as bad as he should for criticizing him.
(12:54) - After Former USWNT star Carli Lloyd doubles down on her criticism of the current USWNT, Charlotte tells us how she feels about the National Team’s World Cup struggles: “It’s too early to say this team’s not passionate or not trying.” Ms. Wilder says she wasn’t a fan of Carli Lloyd making the current USWNT team’s lack of success about her. (18:30) After hearing Golic speak on talking heads wanting to see athletes sad after bad performances, Gojo reminds us that the US didn’t lose and do have something to celebrate.
(20:30) - Gojo, Charlotte, and Golic react to reports that the PAC-12 has reached a TV streaming deal with Apple that would require a subscription-based revenue model. “This conference is done being a Power 5.” Golic uses grade school door-to-door magazine subscription drives as an analogy to describe how bad this deal would be for the conference. (26:20) Charlotte reminds us that the name of the game is exposure for CFB and streaming services may not deliver enough eyes to the PAC-12.
(33:00) - The gang shares their thoughts on Iowa State’s gambling accusations that suggest their starting QB, Hunter Dekkers, has been gambling on his team consistently. With so little money being placed on each bet, Gojo and Golic are confused at the decision-making of not only the QB who’s putting his eligibility in jeopardy but also his parents for allegedly helping.
(41:15) - This, That, and the Third: Justin Verlander traded back to the Astros as the Mets implode, a debate over how many five-year-olds it’d take to tackle Derrick Henry and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Guesthouse on AirBnB sparks the question: which celebrity’s guesthouse would you want to spend one night in?
