When it comes to safety in the oilfield, we love to see innovation spring up because someone using a certain piece of equipment, that has been around for decades, figured out a better way to do things!

If you've worked in the oilfield for any length of time, you have seen hammer unions used on just about every piece of equipment with hard piping. Even if you've never had to make-up or disconnect one of these beasts, just watching someone do it makes it glaringly apparent that there is a high potential for incident.
