Kevin hopes Steve will like the band but also wants to see if Steve KNOWS the band, especially since this band was signed on the record label that Steve mentions most. Or is it written in a smart way? This band really came at a time in Kevin’s personal faith that made this band stick out. Yes, sometimes Christian based lyrics can come off as cheesy, but this band has a strong lyricist and take a really good approach to this topic. This band definitely has a radio sound and a feeling of “what could have been” which always leads to the question; Where could this band have gone on a bigger label with a stronger push to the mainstream radio?
