Description

This month's table read is for a pilot called Trial written by Emmy nominated writing duo Matteo Borghese & Rob Turbovsky. Trial centers around an aging comedy icon who finds his life turned upside down when he is charged with the murder of his sleazy business manager and, possibly worse, revealed to be not all that nice.  Trial was setup at Comedy Central. It should be noted that we read this pilot live in Los Angeles at The Lyric Hyperion Theater. That's right, you're going to hear some real laughs! Our cast for Trial was truly outstanding. It features Mark McKinney as Bradley, Ritesh Rajan as Donald, Khary Payton as Detective Hanscom, Taylor Garron as Alex Bridge,  Vinny Thomas as Chet, Patty Guggenheim as Paula Glass, Craig Cackowski as Marty, Richelle Meiss as Debbie Tremblay/various characters, Morgan Jay as Jacob Tremblay/various characters and Andrew Reich with stage directions. Thanks for listening! Titles in the series (100)

In Dead Pilots Society, scripts that were developed by studios and networks but were never produced are given the table reads they deserve. Starring actors you know and love from television and film, a live audience, and a good time in which no one gets notes, no one is fired, and everyone laughs. Presented by Andrew Reich (Friends; Worst Week) and Ben Blacker (The Writers Panel podcast; co-creator, Thrilling Adventure Hour).
