But in 1995, Courtney’s small hometown of Conroe, Texas was forever affected when a 12 year old boy named McKay Everett was abducted and held for ransom, taken right from his home. The ransom caller demanded $500,000 and promised to call back the next morning with more instructions, but that phone call never came. And McKay’s parents would never get to see their son alive again.
