Description

Francisco Gable shares how insight and tranquility can be unleashed through the anapani sutta of mindful breathing, a practice the Buddha himself relied upon for relief. He speaks of the spinal injury and pain from an accident that brought him to Buddhism. Although he still has severe pain, his practice has played a role in his healing and he now experiences joy and liberation in life. He shares how we can move through despair, discouragement, and suffering to experience gladness and a reverence for ourselves by finding the open heart that resides within us. ____________ Francisco Gable has been devoted to Dharma since 2003. Thanks to this, he made an unexpected recovery from an accident that had rendered him disabled. He works to bring the dharma to under-served Spanish-speaking sanghas in Spain and Latin America as well as those incarcerated. His tradition avoids personal promotion and teacher celebrity, so has no online presence or following. He studies and teaches early Buddhism with the scholar and monk Bikkhu Analayo. He is in teacher training at the Insight Meditation Center with Andrea Fella and Gil Fronsdal. His primary interests are teaching underserved groups and bringing the Dharma to the greater Spanish-speaking world.
